“ This is the second time we've been to this company - they have multiple stores in SF, and our first time was the inner Richmond store. Both times were great! We really enjoy their affordable açaí bowls which have great options for bases and toppings. We also decided to walk around while they were being prepared and we lost track and panicked they would melt. When we got there they kept the açaí in the fridge! This did keep our açaí intact but it did melt, which we expected and was our fault, so do try and get to your bowl and eat it asap! I definitely recommend palmetto superfoods, and I will be coming again in the future! ”

A refreshing, healthy pickup that always tastes great. Great options with a lot of add ons. Vibes on Union are always good. My go to is the Warrior Smoothie ”

“ Health is wealth. After a long day at school, my body was craving something sweet but also, healthy. I came to Palmetto Superfoods after the recommendation of a classmate of mine, who by the way is also a Yelper, so you know it's gonna be good. I came at the right day and because there was no line and usually when I walk by this place the line is out the door! Today was my lucky day! There restaurant/cafe is fairly small, very clean, and the staff are welcoming. It has a very chill vibe and there is outdoor seating. I ordered the Bay Blend (signature bowl which had bases - açai, pitaya, coconut beach, blue chia pudding. toppings - almond honey granola, strawberries, blueberries, banana, goji berries, cacao nibs, almond butter, raw honey) in a small (8 oz) and it was just the right amount for me to feel full and healthy. It has been a while since I've had an açai bowl since moving to SF and I am glad that there is one that is close to my home and to Sephora! I will need to come back and try their other signature bowls but also, will have to try building my own bowl one day because that seemed to be a popular item on their menu! ”

“ Got the pacific blend smoothie -- very yummy, but waited quite long (about 20 min) to get my drink. Just be prepared for a very long wait when you order here. Would recommend the pacific blend smoothie! Such a beautiful color. Very refreshing and not too sweet. Added peanut butter for no extra charge but the texture was a little gritty, almost as if they blended peanuts instead. Still tasted good but did make the texture a bit different. Would definitely come back for their smoothie bowls! They look so pretty. No inside seating; it's all outdoors. ”

“ I would give this place 10 stars if I could!! Definitely the best acai I have ever had, period -- so so fresh, flavorful, and packed with homemade ingredients. I love the coconut beach, matchacado, and pure acai bases. They also chop all the fruit here to order -- no drying up mango! Not sure how they do this, but even the fruit they source is packed with flavor and complements the acai bowls so well. The location is small, but they have an outdoor bench area where people hang out. Kudos to the staff here -- they are so friendly despite always being super busy! ”

“ Palmetto is my favorite place to get an açaí bowl - the variety of bases and toppings is unbeatable. Once you choose your size, it's a flat rate for unlimited bases - açaí, chia pudding, matchacado (my favorite) - and toppings. I tend to get carried away with the toppings, but fortunately, all the bases and toppings pair well to achieve a balance of sweet and crunchy. For those who prefer the tried and true, the menu lineup includes several "pre-designed" bowls and smoothies as well. On my most recent visit, I placed my order ahead of time for pick-up; however, I haven't experienced a line to order in-person. Size-wise, the Medium is substantial enough for a healthy and refreshing breakfast or lunch. If it's a nice day, there is a cute parklet outside to enjoy your bowl (the cafe itself is basically a hole-in-the wall). ”

“ Had the opportunity of having Palmetto as part of a breakfast catering for a work conference. I've had Palmetto before and it's definitely one of, if not the best, acai spot in the city. First time experiencing them as part of a catering though. The setup was very straightforward and accessible for large groups. Acai blend came pre made in the container. Topping station set up so everyone could customize their own bowls. Make it as sweet, fruity, filling, nutritious, nutty, etc as you want. Even though the acai was delivered before breakfast commenced, it was delivered at a temperature that didn't compromise the acai. By the time we had it, it was a great texture, temp, and consistency. I'm always down for Palmetto when I visit their storefronts but now I can definitely recommend their catering too. ”
